Artist's Comments

Here is the result of 6 days of work.

Many of you have been waiting patiently for something new from me so here you have it.
This was a collab between myself and JohnWarren

John was kind enough to produce a nice terrain rendered in terragen while i basically created the heavens.
There was a lot of work that went into this, deffinately one of my best yet. After spending most of the time on the explosion trying to develop it more and more i got carried away from the rest. So i said screw it, its good enough.

I tried to get a nice blend between the landscape and the explosive sky, but i didn't try to take the viewers eyes away from the lower half.

I used resources from previous works, but also created brand new ones to get a different atmosphere, most of the time you can tell when the artist is using the same old crap over and over.

John will also be submitting this piece as hes the one with the prints account and i'm not, so free print is well worth it :D Please go check out his gallery, hes an awesome terragen artist, one of my best. So shower him with your love, if your not lazy.

Original Size : 4000x6000 pixels

Artists Annoying Fact : Dont you hate it when your in love with an art piece then the more you gaze the more fed up you get

Awesome work ... but the "stellar" part is a little bit too grey for me - I think the contrast is too low! Anyway it is gorgeous ... my next favorite :+fav:
:iconbladeshock:
The part where the planets collide is brilliant, the atmosphere of the piece is great too

:jawdrop: The colliding planets...! Just... wow! :+favlove:

Hmm... perhaps I'm odd, but every time I look at the rings around the one planet, I get this optical illusion thing going on. You know... the same phenomenon that one experiences when watching an episode of MST3K, and how you can never tell if Crow is looking at or away from the camera during the screening of the movie. I digress...

That landscape is damn good. Is it really Terragen? I would only be able to get those results on Bryce. But then again, my computer sucks. :P

Hey, fucking fabulous. All I can say! Always a pleasure.
:icondarktalyn:
That is one hell of an awesome render but I don't get the name. What does two planets crashing into each other have to do with conflict?
